Default OT, I got yelled at by the car wash dude today

I decided to clean the bbq grill with the foam brush at the car wash
and got yelled at but the dude that works there. I didn't argue as I
didn't realize it myself that grease was getting mixed on the brush.
In the past I would use the pressure hose to clean all the hard grim
off it. I got a $1300 bbq last year, how do I clean the nasty grease
off the burners?, I don't know anything about this stuff other then my
expensive bbq isn't crunk.

I used the hose to clean off the brush, then washed my car and my car
is super clean

You have to clean the grease while it's still hot. Most people will
just burn the grease off. When you're finished BBQing, you close the
lid and turn it up. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes and then after that
all you do is take your bristle/brush and scrape off the ashes.

C'mon man.. this ain't rocket science! I don't even own a BBQ and I
know this!

That idea is totally krunk, I didn't even know that but it does make
sense as it is still mostly liquid when the grill is still hot.

If it still needs help...Use a pumice stone to clean off any heavy built
up...... then warm it up a little and again use a regular grill or brush and
water to clean the grate and remove the pumice stone residue.

to prevent sticking ... get the disposable pads soaked with high
temperature cooking oil and oil the grate first or brush oil on the food
first.

Haha.. I've never seen that done before. You must've had some pretty
crazy stuff crusted onto your grill to need that! Sounds like NSB
might need to do that by the time he gets through with his though!
