Default Craptors

Thanks for yet another crash-exit out of the playoffs.

I think this was predicted by lots of folks, given the drag of an
entry into the post season.

Atleast they made the post season two years in a row, unlike the Make
Beliefs and the Blue Gays.

Good point. Blue Gays are definitely brutal. Gibbons is a horrid manager. I
went on holiday last week and they actually lost every game when I was away.
Just brutal. Who goes to those games at the Rogers Centre anyways? They also
showed themselves as cheap-asses by dumping Thomas before they had to pay
him any bonuses. Thomas will light them up when they play Oakland for sure.

Thankfully, no one cares about baseball. Because it's baseball, which
sucks.

Nobody cares about baseball until the Jays start winning. But since the
Blue Jays haven't been in s serious late season pennant race since Dave
Winfield was swatting homers people have lost interest. I have no doubt
that if the Jays were in a exciting pennant race the building would once
again fill up.

The problem with the Jays isn't Gibbons. Its the man who made Gibbons
manager. Ricciardi must go. He has had his time to build a playoff
contender and he hasnt done it. Much like JFJ and the Leafs he was hired
as the next young phenom GM with zero experience and hasnt delivered.

The Jays need a proven manager, when Torre was available JP should have
targeted him. Having 2 unproven nobodies manage this team (Tosca is the
other) only proves to me that JP wants a puppet manager and not a winning
manager.

Tunnel.

If the Raptors had won one of the first 2 games, i guarantee they
would of had this series in the bag

Just for a laugh, we looked up the AL East standings for 1992.

Toronto TOR 96 66 .593 --
Milwkee MIL 92 70 .568 4.0
Bltmore BAL 89 73 .549 7.0
Clvlnd CLE 76 86 .469 20.0
NewYorkY NYY 76 86 .469 20.0
Detroit DET 75 87 .463 21.0
BostonRS BOS 73 89 .451 23.0

Isn't that hilarious? Milwaukee second? We don't remember that and
we would never have guessed it, in a million years.

That's real news. We went on record as saying that this guy had to
go the very day he was hired.

This is the guy who ripped apart the scouting system because he
honestly believes that you can tell more about a potential player
from looking at stats than you can from watching him play. It's no
wonder this moron's organization's team finish in last place, or
close to it, at every level.

Why would you say that Delgado was a waste of money and then turn
around and sign clowns like Thomas, and Wells to HHHUUUUGGGEEE
contracts. Pathetic.

JP would never, ever, hire an experienced field manager because he
is too insecure. He didn't even want Buck around because Buck had
and still has, a much higher profile.

This is much the same as JFJ. That's why he had to get rid of
Quinn.

Do you ever look at the headers before you post followups? Please take
the Raptors group out of this.

No. Basketball is over for the season. If you are a fan of Toronto
sport then you should be reading the baseball group. If you are not
a fan of Toronto sport then you should be reading
rec.sport.sissyball or whatever the main basketball group is called.
