So far, you're right about the high scoring, and I'm wrong about the Detroit
pitchers not being able to hold in the Jays' bats. It's actually been the other way around. _Not_ good to see Rogers turn the corner on his slump against the team I'm cheering for. |

Of course, today can just as easily be something like 3-2. > > _Not_ good to see Rogers turn the corner on his slump against the team I'm > cheering for. > |

So far, you're right about the high scoring, and I'm wrong about the Detroit pitchers not being able to hold in the Jays' bats. It's actually been the other way around. _Not_ good to see Rogers turn the corner on his slump against the team I'm cheering for. doc> It's not much of a surprise to me,the tigs where supposed to be the big guns in the al this season, but got off to a very dismal start. The rook who started the game last night for the jays did a fare to midland job even if he walked 7 he did k shef twice with the bases juiced once ta da.;>) Our bp has been over worked already and not a good sign imho,as for rogers he was not to great, but managed to dodge the bullets,he walked 8 and the jays failed to jump on him.If I was a tigs fan,and thank goodness I am not;>) I would be more worried about the ability of the team to keep pace,by scoring more runs then their opposition every game with their very suspect pitching staff top to bottom and a very poor bp. The tigs are not going to face rooks like they did in every game like last night. And to be fare he did a better job really than rogers did.The final score just did not reflect the pitching efforts by both teams.(thats bb;>)) Your observation of SS is right on,he cost the team big time last night,as did a very unlike err by the usually sure handed JM. RJ''s departure from the team in favor of a sagging and injury prone SS rests squarely on jp's beak,he continues to make poor judgement calls, hoping players will opt to stay with the team if he lets them go and nobody picks them up,who would not snatch up a guy like RJ,ask the cubs,,,,,duh jp. Good teams pounce on little mistakes and capitalize when they can.neither team did last night,it was an ugly game both in offence and defense for both sides. The tigs are the team with everything to prove to the skeptics and it's up to the jays to take care of business.well the tigs are still a very shaky team at best. If they still can manage a split or 3 of the 4 in the series not much harm done, except to the tigs, their ugly start may well cost them in october?? Hope so!!!! justmy$.02ofcourse |

Yes it could be 3-2.10 -12,15-14,9-7, 6-4,5-6,13-12,11-7,25 or 6 to 4.wait thats a song, opppss I digress to your infinite wisdom..... What does the ball park have to do with it?Comedic park is the new homer dome in mlb,the ceeeement pit is not hitter friendly with the lid off. And the history of the teams uhhhhhhh what would that be.The jays have dominated the tigs 190-161 since their inception. Hell even kc has a better record against the blue birdies. You have quite the flare, for your insightful assessments of the game. At least you are being somewhat civil in here for a change, did I thank you for plonking me,I wish I could return your kindness, but alas.(very refreshing say what) I know it must be tough, since everybody in the tigs ng shudders every time you post. But hey your the one who likes to climb on your soapbox of platitudes. I'm sure your true colors will shine on in future and the true billy ball, will rear it's ugly head when somebody makes the mistake of disagreeing with you. I made that mistake a few years back. tisk tisk, walllllllwaysssss me,snif snif. Hey was it you who slipped leyalnd that pack of but's,I am sure I can see smoke coming out of the tigs dug out. Or is that smoke from the pitching coach burning those tar rags from last nights game,to keep the flies off the tigs.... I hear they like dead meat..unfair advantage tigs....didn't you know we are in a green belt....come on now. |
