I can't understand how some of these managers think. I always thought that
a guy with a good glove and a good b.a. should be playing and batting in the upper part of the order so he could get as many ab's as possible. This is no rocket science level of thinking. How come Joe Inglett was out of the lineup last night, and is hitting in the 9th spot? I have been following him since he was in the minors and the Jays are treating him just like the Indians did. ** Posted from http://www.teranews.com ** |

From: fabien@toast.net (robokobo) I can't understand how some of these managers think. More than likely gibby can feel the axe on his neck getting closer with every loss. Jp promised us all when he took the job, as gm he would quit rather than further mismanage the team, well guess what your five years is long up jp,and the team is eve more disheartening and mediocre, even compared to the gord ash years. I see them firing gibby any day now and putting ernie in charge interim, and playing out the rest of the season looking up at the standings in the ale,and saying if only. And I think you will see come season end or before guys like doc,vw's,rios, hill, etc, asking to be dealt or quiting out right. You can bet the farm, that other teams are licking their collective chops waiting for the jays to implode and the fire sale to follow. Guys like stairs, stewart, zaun, know there chances of remaining every day players anywhere else are limited, and they are playing their guts out, while it appears others on the team are just killing time and collecting their pay. The brass hats keep shrugging their shoulders and repeating the same gibberish time and time again. They have the making of a fine young starting staff, and bull pen,but lack of run support and motivation is getting very ugly. They to will likely jump ship before it sinks. It has shades of expos written all over it again...to bad to sad.Perhaps they should have called the team the toronto blue leafs instead,I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would pay the big bucks, they ask for tickets to see the leafs flounder every year, but to each his own I guess. btw I have a bunch of tickets for up coming games this season, don't want to waste gas money etc on a team who don't give a rats ass, give me a shout if anybody is interested, good seats my brother unfortunately works for teddy;>) |
