Default Arrogant things that Federer said in his MC press conference ...

http://www.asapsports.com/show_interview.php?id=49187

"But it's tough against him, you know, under the circumstances, you
know. And he deserves to win in the end, you know, I think because
he's a helluva clay court player."

"Maybe my attacking game didn't work that well maybe like in the past
against him. But that's something that can happen, you know. I'm still
awfully close. I mean, he's not not improving. He's improving. So am
I. So are other players.
It's not going to get much easier beating him. But I'm right there,
and that's a good thing."

Q. The biggest improvement do you think Nadal did is on the backhand
or in other things?
ROGER FEDERER: No, just in general, you know, he's a more complete
player. But that was an obvious thing for me, he was going to be able
to achieve that. You know, it just shows. He's in the doubles finals
as well. You wouldn't have thought that maybe four years ago. So it
was obvious he was going to improve at the net, improve his serve,
improve his whatever it is.
He's still young and improving. That's why it's important just for him
to play compact and tough. You know, he brings that day in and day out
on clay. For him it's just so natural and so no-problem that it makes
it hard for the other players to beat him.

"I think he played well from the baseline, you know. He had great
length, you know, especially on the forehand side. I know I had a bad
record on second-serve points won, you know. Might be the leader, you
know, on tour. Today I barely made 30%, so it just shows what a tough
clay court return player he is."

Arrogant bastard ...

Federer is a great observer as usual. The question is whether he
really wants the FO this year or not. He has already won the Wimby 5
times, so nothing to prove there.

Hm.....I thought you were a bit smarter than this Greg. Only a masturbating
fanboy would "logically" conclude that this somehow negates the arrogant
things he has said. A ludicrous premise, of course, and not something
anybody (of average or better intelligence) follows in real life.

Federer said some depreciating comments about Nadal's game before the
final that I considered ill advised. Speaking depreciatingly about
your opponents game only to lose to him soon after is something he did
to himself. Naturally, Federer would be humbled after a straight two-
set loss and not as arrogant but it does not erase his earlier
comments.

Maybe, Andre could give Roger Djoko some lessons about sportsmanship.
Andre was cruising to and easy win when he lost his serve. The
commentator remarked that Andre probably lost concentration because he
was already thinking about some nice things he would say about his
opponent. If you cannot say something nice about your opponent
(especially before you play him), say nothing because it could come
back and bite you. That is what happened to Roger in Monte Carlo.
