Timeline 191 Fanfic/Maribel Vinson?

I did see, quite some time back, some fan fiction based on
the Timeline 191 series, with some sports history quite
differnet then OTL, and even figure skating history is
quite different.

One fan fiction that existed, had someone named Maribel
Vinson winning a gold medal for the CSA in figure skating,
and winning 9 titles at Confederate Nationals. Vinson wins
the 1928 gold medal, for the CSA, in the TL191 fanfic.
Vinson wins 1932, and Sonja Henie wins 1936 and 1940
(WWII does not start until 1941 in TL191). America also gets
a gold medallist, in 1928, in this TL191 fanfic, with Beatrix
Loughran (who, in OTL, did win silver, at the 1928
Olympics).


I cannot think of any real-world analogues (like many
of Timline 191 characters have), other than the skating coach
Maribel Owen, killed in the 1961 plane crash. There has
never been either a Maribel Vinson, or Maribel Owen, in OTL
that ever won ANY country's Nationals, or any Olympic medals.

Based on this, I think that Maribel Vinson MUST be a fictional
character invented by whoever wrote that particular fanfic.
The closest OTL analogue would be Maribel Owen, the coach
killed in the 1961 plane crash, but she never won ANY
medals at either Worlds, Olympics, or US Nationals.

Maribel Owen is probably best known for being the coach
of Frank Carroll, during his skating days, but Owen, herself,
NEVER won ANY Olympic medals, never mind a gold, or won
anything at any country's Nationals, in OTL.

I know that in the TL 191 fanfic, when it existed, they
had Maribel Vinson born in 1911, which would probably
make Maribel Owen the closest real-world analogue, since
she was born in 1911, in OTL.

Maribel Vinson, in this TL191 fanfic , was born in Alabama,
in 1911. The American Beatrix Loughran is a New Yorker, in
TL191. In OTL there has NEVER been ANY Olympic champs from
the State Of New York.
