Default League matches

hello!

I'm pretty new to the game, but have often enjoyed watching the odd
match when it comes on tv.

Never really enjoyed the game or the culture surrounding union, but
being a southerner, I'm a bit far from the league action.

Could anyone give us a few pointers as to getting tickets & seeing
matches, as I'm planning to try & catch a live match with a few
friends.

Many thanks!!

Tickets are available from teams' websites, so it's a matter of deciding
which match you want to watch and ordering tickets from them.....they are
often a pound or two cheaper online than paying at the gate.

'Millenium magic' weekend is coming up in a few weeks, at the Millenium
stadium in Cardiff, tickets for this event are available from:
http://www.superleague.co.uk/tickets.php
ranging from £18 to £45, but that's for three matches.
Other major match tickets are also available there, like the Challenge cup
final and the grand final of superleage at the end of the regular season

You don't say what part of the south, but probably Harlequins RL will be
your nearest Superleague team. Phil has already provided a link for you,
but if you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

QuinsRL's next two home games at the Twickenham Stoop are

Challenge Cup vs. Castleford. Sat. April 19th, k.o. 5.30 p.m. (On BBC
TV)

Superleague vs. Hull FC. Sun. May 18th, k.o. 3.00 p.m.

Don't forget that there are two other divisions besides Super League
where you can just turn up on the day and pay at the gate. You may be
surprised that the standard of entertainment at such matches can be
equal to or greater than in SL.

London Skolars might be a good starting point and I understand that
they offer a very reasonable meal and seating package.

Depends where you are of course, but Harlequins RL play in Superleague at
the Stoop next to Twickenham RU Stadium in London.

As Phil says the best value for money is going to be the Millennium Magic
weekend if you can make it on the bank holiday weekend where you can take in
all the SL teams to watch on a weekend, all of which are derby games.

Gerroff, they're in each other's back yards compared with Quins v.
Catalans.

Many thanks for all the info on this. I'm less than a mile from the
Skolars pitch in north London (wasn't aware of them!), so this in
particular looks like good fun. I'll be going along on the 26th, so
thanks again.

Mark.
