Default I, for one, am OK with only 41 wins

There seems to be a lot of angst over the fact that we missed having a
winning season, but when Oden went down before the season started, I figured
we wouldn't even make 40. Am I just too big a Pollyanna on this, or is 41
wins pretty damn good after winning 32 last year & 21 the year before that.

Now, next year I'm not going to be satisfied with anything short of a
post-season berth, but I wish the media, particularly the Oregonian, would
play up the positive a bit more.

Go Blazers !

I, for one, couldn't be more pleased. Our top two players are both
second year players, one of which was injured (Roy). Our number one
pick didn't play a second for us. If we would have been in the East
we would have been a 6th seed and made the playoffs. Instead we get a
chance to get a nice high pick. To me it was a great season.

I am hoping we get either Mayo, Buddinger or Love in the draft. Of
the three I think Love would be the best fit. I don't think we will
have a chance at Beasley or Rose and we don't need Lopez. Ok,
Buddinger is a homer pick because I live here in San Diego and I got
to see him play in High School. I think Love's passing ability and
basketball knowledge would compliment Oden, Roy and Aldridge greatly.

Go Blazers.

Likely only move up two spots from 15th to 13th. I know it happened last
year but they have a 4% chance at the top 3.
Add in the odds of beating the odds twice...

Me too. =)

I know the best player vs. need argument... but they really do not need a PF
as much to improve two other positions.
Besides... there is a lot of flat out hate around our fan base because he
went to UCLA...

Agreed. I actually couldn't stand the guy after he committed to UCLA
and I heard how he and his pop were around Lake Oswego. Living in
SoCal is tough enough, but to have one of the best Oregon kids go to
UCLA instead of UofO sucked, especially since his dad was an alum.

I think Love will be more of a 3 than a 4 in the NBA because of his
incredible ball handling skills.

Can't wait until next year. Could really be the start of something
great.

Would he be able to guard 3s?
