This wouldn't have happened a year ago. Looks like Nutting means
business. This actually gives me hope that the Bucs can have a
turnaround in a couple of years.

Yeah, that's a lot of money to eat. 1/5 of the payroll. Too bad there's no
insurance for poor performance. Best move for the team though. Pretty
obvious his career was over. He's been hit hard since spring training. Like
to see Burnett get a shot. This'll have to be VanBen's last shot I would
think. Also leaves a spot on the 40-man roster open right now.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing and how quick they were to pull the
plug on him; I wonder if something else might be in the works.
