There's too much Willie in this team....

.....they get a nice extra-inning win, then they don't show up a day
later. I like what Wags said after the game. ".......We can't be
losing 13-1 to this Pittsburgh club." Take a hint Willie.

Its like they're afraid to be *really* good, just content to be
respectible. Heck, Willie emphasizes and reinforces this mind-set
after every single game with his meek, docile media sessions. With
this prevailing attitude, is there any wonder why they don't have that
arrogance that championship clubs normally have ?

The Mets don't have the talent to be arrogant.
Look, the wins have been a struggle, the losses easy.
Good , arrogant teams like say the 86 Mets, the wins were easy the
losses unexpected.

Maybe the challenge of playing Arizona will energize them....a little
bit, as Willie would say. He needs to come up with some new phrases,
preferably with some 4 letter words in them to spice up those media
sessions...a little bit.

Spice may be needed in clubhouse.
