View Full Version : Walter's Revenge

I guess that Garza and Navarro don't know much about baseball'
superstition.....

Poor old Walter seemed to be minding his own business when he was abruptly
hastled by the two T.B. battery-mates Sunday after church.
The handsome hen simply came pecking away for some small crumbs and
tidbits - minding his own business when he was unjustly and abruptly chased
away from his normal surroundings by those unwelcomed fish - er "Rays" from
Florida.
The umps didn't seem to mind Walter and neither did the White Sox battery of
Danks and Pierzynski - who wisely ignored him.
After all, old Wally was ready to jump out of the way when the need occured
as he proved once or twice beforehand.
Little must Garza, Navarro (as well as Pena) know about Chicago's historical
baseball past.
Although it is well known about Chicago's baseball superstitions -
especially Billy goat and Sly black cats up on the northside - but this is
the southside.
So thanks for your patience and understanding Wally.
White Sox Park is always your home, and nobody has the right to ever flip
you off.

>>>Chicago's baseball superstitions<<<

do these "superstitions" have anything to do with chicago being the most
politically corrupt city in the nation?

Actually, you're wrong. Used to be bumper stickers in NC that read:
With 110% of the vote counted, Jesse Helms wins.

Heh, that may well be true about Jesse, but he also had the dead
voting for him. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, he was re-elected twice
while he himself was dead. ;-)
