Ok, the squeeze didn't work. It's risky. It would have been fantastic
but ah well.

As for the bottom of the 9th...Reggie ran as hard as he could. Would
he have held onto it if he'd gotten there? Probably. We got a break
when the ball bounced into the stands. Really the Red Sox could have
won it on that line drive that Tex gloved but instead it was a
grounder....a measly grounder just beyond Howie's reach. If that ball,
or if the one that Reggie couldn't get to, had been just a foot to the
right...

A great series, lots of tension, could have gone either way.

Oh, did I mention I'll be rooting for the Rays?

Eric, you nailed it for me...great series, and a game of inches. The
last two in Fenway felt like WS games to me. After Bay came home on
the liner to right, I turned off the TV immediately and spent 10
minutes, alone. Not jerking off; I know this is professional sports
and bathroom humor is always in ascendancy, but I meant I just tried
to put it all in perspective.

And one of the things I came away with was, yes: Go Rays!

Yesterday was a close game. We almost forced them into Extra Innings again.
The Red Sox trolls will quickly find out the Rays (headed by former Halo
Madden) won't be as easily beaten...
