View Full Version : Nice going, Charlie

Ninth inning, bases loaded, nobody out, down 4-1.

The batter is Pedro Feliz, a double play waiting to happen, but
Charlie has painted himself into a corner with no options by inserting
Geoff Jenkins into the game earlier, and thus Feliz, a double play
waiting to happen, hit for himself and shockingly hit into a double
play.

Then, with no cards left to play, Carlos Ruiz hit for himself and hit
a smash all the way back to the pitcher. Game over.

Manuel the genius has better hope the series ends tomorrow 'cause I
don't want to have to face Sabathia on Tuesday when he will have had
four days rest.

At least the Phils should have Hamels going.

Is it still Blanton for tomorrow? Yep, Phillies.com has
Blanton and Suppan. Lets hope the Phightin's have some offense
tomorrow.

Jenks was part of a double substitution to move the pitcher into Burrels
batting place. There really wasn't any thing else to do, except kick guys
like Burrell, Utley, Feliz and Ruiz in the ass for bad bats. It's the same
inconsistancy that devilled the Phills earlier. Cholly should get himself in
the program and inspire the underachievers.
Can Dobbs play left field? Getting him into a starting role while leaving
Feliz at 3rd-he is a decent fielder-would give Burrell a rest; he's run out
of gas.

You're kidding right? Where were all the kudos for Manuel when the
Phillies won the NL East crown? If you're going to criticize a manager
when the team loses, ya have to give him credit when he succeeds.
