Posey in Hawaii
So this is interesting.

I was perusing the minor-league baseball web site to see how Buster
Posey was doing in Hawaii and I see that his hitting coach on the
Waikiki BeachBoys is none other than Desi Wilson.

Wilson was a super-tall, left-hand-hitting first baseman who came to
the Giants in the same deal that brought Rich Aurilia from Texas. He
had some pop, but also had the usual trouble with breaking pitches
that usually separates the pretenders from the contenders. He got a
cup of coffee with the Giants in 1996.

Anyway, Wilson had a nickname (at least behind his back) of "one-tool
player." It had nothing to do with baseball, and I'll leave its origin
to your imagination. I had no idea he was coaching.

Posey is 2-for-7 so far. Another top Giants draft pick, outfielder
Roger Kieschnick, is off to a good start.

{Posey's too good to be polluted by the likes of Desi Wilson}
[Posey's got five tools to Wilson's one!]
[Figure it out!]

:) I'm watched Posey last night, they had him in at catcher. Sweet swing!

Right now the giants have some serious prospects including posey, Villalona
and Rafael Rodriguez. Anyone know if Boyer who played at San Jose is a
real prospect? He certainly seems to handle high A pitching.
