Because one of the dumber Supes had a hissyfit about LaSorda being
Grand Marshall, the Giants will be working the parade . ... I heard a
rumor that Lou Seal would be there.

You know, I like it . .. first of all, the Columbus Day Parade is
officially Un PC (they can't kill it so the Progs call it "Italian
Heritage Day"), and LA doesn't have one! His own town won't honor
him . .. I sure hope that some of y'all will show up to heckle him, if
no one does, he'll feel terribly hurt and rejected.

Oh, and the Columbus Salami Truck is at the end of it, so come to
North Beach Sunday October 12.

From a City that hates anything non-PC, what a surprise. I don't like
Lasorda anymore than I like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad , but I think Tommy
would have been a natural for the Grand Marshall. Heaven forbid they
put a legitimate Italian in charge of the parade.

I was raised in the Excelsior district and the Italian influence was
heavy on me. MY folks were taken in by an Italian family that ran a
restaurant in North Beach and they had enough free meals to get them
through their first year of marriage. Heavy in the pasta and
fortified Italian wine.

Joe Dimaggio (my uncle stole his tennis partner and married her)!
Cafe Divine!
Mara's on Columbus!
Stella's on Columbus!
Dianda's on Mission!
[I know I went heavy on the pastry shops]

:)

Well she must have been getting up there in years when you saw her. I
saw here once, but not at the bakery. :)
