Tonight's game #2 should be the last game the Cub's will play
at Wrigley Field this season. Cub's fans had a nice winning
season to enjoy their team. It looks as if their joy is over.
They should be proud of their Cubs getting this far.

They are playing a different Dodger team now. This isn't
the Dodger team we saw at the begining of the season. This
isn't even the same Dodger team we saw after they traded for
Casey and Manny. The Dodgers have stepped it up to another
level now. What more can a Dodger fan ask for! The Dodgers
finally have the "killer instinct".

Last night the Dodgers jumped all over the Cubs for 7 runs
because the Cub's pitchers walked so many hitters. Tonight the
Dodgers caused the Cub's infielders to overplay the ball and
they made 4 errors which helped the Dodgers beat them up for
10 runs. There were misplays by the Cub outfielders as well.
The 4 errors the infielders made tonight were an all time
playoff record.

We have the Cubs so frazzled now that they will go into game
#3 on Saturday feeling so much pressue on themselves. We have
them exactly where we want them. Lou Pinella is chastizing his
players on national tv. Fukudome is done playing for the Cubs
the rest of the playoffs (he's 0 for 8), according to Pinella.

It has been so rewarding and enjoyable to follow the Dodgers
this season, getting to see all of their games and watching
the progress they have made. Saturday my son and I will be at
field level, third base side. Who could ask for more!

I don't know. Listening to the announcers, the great Chicago Cubs
overcame insurmountable odds just to be here. Unfortunate things have
happened, sure, but that's the curse and DEFINITELY not the team
they're facing. It might be post-season pressure. After all, they
have young players on their team...like Soriano, DeRosa, Lee, H.
Ramirez, Zambrano.

Not to worry, though. The likely next hurdle will be the team with
the most losses in MLB history, IIRC, and more coverage will be given
to that than any aspect of the blue.

Never mind the media coverage. Maybe The Century is too big a story
to bump off. I'm excited about the prospect of winning the series at
home. The team has done a phenomenal job over the last month in
winning the games they are supposed to, gaining confidence, and now
executing when the opportunity arises.

I was amazed that WGN News made such a big deal in 2003 when they
reached the playoffs. The announcers kept saying that they hadn't been
there is so many years, blah blah blah. No, it's *winning* the World
Series that they haven't done.
