The Rose Award goes to James Loney of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who
went one-for-five with four RBI and scored one run in a 7-2 win over
the Chicago Cubs.
The Cubs' Ryan Dempster had Loney set up for an off-speed pitch but
elected to throw a fastball right down the middle, resulting in Loney
hitting a grand slam, the first in postseason for the Dodgers since
Dusty Baker hit one on October 5, 1977.
