Two things:

1) for the campaign season to end so that the cross post spam would
end.

2) A Rays World Series Championship.

how would you like to see the chances of getting to the WS emerge...i.e.,
what are your playoff preferences?

I Think the Rays would rather face the Twins rather than the White Sox...?

Hope for Boston to beat the Angels?

Rays and Red Sox in the ALCS ?

how about the NL ?

I think that if the White Sox get in, they will be physically and mentally
exhausted. They may be an easier mark for the Rays.

In the NL, ABC......anybody but Cubs!

The white sox present an issue in that they have good left handed
pitchers that will be a problem for the Rays. Considering the weak
hittig of the Rays, it usually gets worse in the playoffs. Add two
quality left handed pitchers and it is a double whammy.

Even with the REd Sox 1-8 against the Angels this year, I am reminded
that in 1992 the Braves were 2-12 against the Pirates when they faced
them in the NLCS. The Braves won the series 4-3. So any hopes that the
Angels will have an easy go of it is not necessarily cast in stone.

The Bosox do have a good chance since the Angels clinched so early.
History points that teams that do clinch early have a tough time in
getting momentum again when the playoffs start.

A Rays Bosox ALCS would be a challenging series. Fun to watch.

Are the Cubs a team of destiny? Philly is tough and one can't count
the Dodgers out with Manny on the team. I seriously doubt the Dodgers
have the pitching to carry them through the NLCS. Philly matches up
power wise with the Cubs. I think the Brewers exhausted themselves
just getting the wild card. They will make a go of it but I think they
loose in 5 to the Phillies.

I would love to see the Rays and the Cubs in the WS.

Sid Bream - with lead shoes, carrying a piano and a cement truck -
scores from 2nd base on a single. Surely, that can only happen once
in a lifetime... ;-)

Not sure who it was who got the hit. Just remember Bream taking about
2 minutes to get from 3rd base to the plate. Pretty sure it was Barry
Bonds who threw home, but the throw was too far off the mark to nail
the speedster.

>>>1992 National League Championship Series
Cabrera is best known for his two out game-winning pinch hit off of Stan
Belinda in the 9th inning of the 7th and deciding game of the 1992 National
League Championship Series that put the Braves into the World Series.
Cabrera hit a seeing-eye bouncer over short on a 2-1 pitch to left field
that scored David Justice and a slow footed Sid Bream, who beat a left-field
throw from Barry Bonds to win the pennant for the Braves. Amazingly, before
this pinch hit, Cabrera had batted only ten times during the 1992 season.<<<
