I had the tivo going at home but expected to get home around the first
inning to see the giants game. But on the way home prior to the giants game
I listened to the Mets game. It reminded me a lot of the days the giants
played at the polo grounds, except the mets fans were disappointed. The
crowd noise from the N.Y. fans sounded similar to the sound on the old tube
radio's in the late 1940's and early 1950's before the transister radio's
came around The excitement in N.Y. generated by their N.L. fans when the
giants had good teams 1951, 1954, either ata the Polo Grounds or on the
radio was at times spine tingling. When I listen to the giants games on
radio via satellite or previously via computer, I could not get that great
radio sound. The Met's fans generated much excitement, but their team fell
short today, they will spend a similar off season to us Giants fans.
However we were rebuilding, they will be in chaos. I suspect they will go
after Sabbathia, as the other rich teams will do. It would be nice if we
could get him.

How many of you had a feeling that the Mets came up short today just by
reading the subject line of this post? I sure did. ;-)

Just a hunch; no scientific evidence...
