He is just getting warmed up. only problem is the giants can't hit, and if
they don't they will have scored the fewest runs the league. By the way,
post allstar game, vizquel hit over 300.

Giants have hit over 270 since the allstar break but they just don't walk
and get enough guys on base. Taschner post allstar game had an era over 8,
Cains era was better in the second half, but he did for the first time over
a significant period give up more hits than innings pitched for the second
half. That suggests the team now has him well scouted because his stuff is
still good. Time for a giants hitting explosion.

Averted. Beat out the Padres, who were moribund again today at Petco, by
3 runs over the course of the 162 games.

Tied the Nats for fewest runs scored on the road, though.

Nice win to end the season.
