LOS ANGELES -- A man faces criminal charges for allegedly stealing a
uniform from Dodger Stadium and posing as one of the team's players.

Ronald Higgins pleaded not guilty to several charges Friday, including
burglary and trespassing.

The 47-year-old Higgins was arrested Wednesday morning after a
security guard found him walking on the field in a Dodgers uniform and
holding a glove with two balls. Higgins allegedly identified himself
as a Dodgers player, but the guard recognized him from an earlier
incident and called police.

Prosecutors say Higgins' clothes were later found in the bat boys'
locker room. It was not immediately clear where he got the uniform.

If convicted, Higgins could spend nearly four years in state prison.

Attempts to locate an attorney for Higgins were not successful Friday
night.

The prison system isn't about justice it is about money. If you make less
than 15 to 20K a year, you are worth more to wall street in prison than
free. Here is how it works.

The private prison system spends 10,000/year to lock you up. The government
pays 30K. The moment you are sentenced a 30K bond is floated. The prison
gets their money before spending it on you and the bond buyer gets the
interest. The rich get richer off the poor being in jail. There is no
incentive for 'fair'.

That is why selling crack got you more than selling powered cocaine. The
chances of being black and making less than 20K a year is higher than being
white and making less than that. It wasn't racism (well it could of been)
it was economics. Fortunately, that trick was so blatant even the
Republicans couldn't figure out how to justify it that so that law fell.
Others will rise to take its place.
