It is going to be a hell of a fight.

Much as I love Oscar (and still maintain he beat PBF easily), I think
Pacquiao will be too busy and too strong despite natural weights. He has
also developed that "winning" habit. Something Oscar lost a long time
ago.

But wow!

,----
| The total makes De La Hoya-Pacquiao the second-biggest gate in boxing
| history, surpassed only by the $18,419,200 worth of tickets sold for De
| La Hoya's fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 5, 2007.

I can't see Pac overcoming the weight differential.

That is going to be the issue for sure. Let's face it, Pac is a
naturally smaller man and while he may be able to stay lean while
adding on the weight, it is bound to slow him down. Speed is his main
attribute. Not only hand speed but foot speed as well. Oscar is
slowed by age but maybe not as much as Pac will be slowed by the
weight.

Putting on a few pounds is not going to make his hand speed any slower
that makes any odds. Nor his head movement.

He wont slow up that much.

Oscar's main talent is he is a fearless contender. In the same way he
dismantled Mayorga he might well do the same to the "all action all in"
Pacquio.

Am totally undecided.

It's not a 'few pounds' but 12 over his maximum ideal weight range.
That's a hell of a lot given Pac's frame.

I figure ODH will show up making weight and then get up to about 155 pre
fight. That will be his current right fighting weight. Essentially, Pac
will be giving up 20 lbs to ODH. Too much, IMO.

More like 17 lbs as his ideal weight seemed to be 130. Although the
good news for Pacman is that he doesn't have to weigh 147 for the
fight to be allowed.

I was putting current Pac at 135 ideal and figuring now Oscar is
probably 155 ideal.

I just cannot see this as a fair matchup. It's the equivalent of Oscar
vs. Pavlik.
