Can the Jays roll off 10 straight to end the season?

Nah. But maybe 7-3?

88 wins is a very good achievement in the AL.

Cito and his staff have turned a mediocre team into a good one. We can only
muse about what if he would have been hired at the start of the year.

Great job M. Gaston and crew. I will give J.P. one more year before I give
up on him.

J.P. Riccardi is the worst GM in baseball. He inherited an allstar
team and ran it into the ground.

Ash's drafted Allstars - Wells, Carpenter, Escober, Hudson,
Quantrill, Lopez, Izturiz, Rios, Young - (in 6 years)
Riccardi's drafted Allstars - (none)

In 7 years the guy couldn't draft one allstar?

Every good team is based on a foundation of solid farm system. Once
again the Chiefs and Fishercats are at or near the bottom of their
divisions. Baseball America has rated the Jays minor leagues in the
bottom 5 in baseball for the last 4 years. Most of the time dead or
second last. They will never ever win with this kind of minor league
production.

I no longer hope to win the series or a pennant. I just want one
meaningful game.

We've seen this kind of meaningless September heroics before. Then the
Charlie Brown Jays fans get all jacked about next year which turns out
as bad as the previous year then some meaningless September heroics
jacks them up again. - It's groundhog day for Jays fans. I'm sick of
being laid out flat on my back looking up at Lucy Riccardi saying, " I
can't believe you fell for that again."

This guy's got to go.

probably not his fault. Looks to me like the owners want to play this game
of making the fans believe thy can contend, without spending the money it
would take to actually win...

I think this is partially true but he told them he could build a
winner for far less money by replacing Bob Engleman and arguably the
best scouting team in baseball with statisticians.

In 7 years Travis Snyder is the first high school player he drafted
and the rewards are obvious. The problem is the Jays aren't equipped
to scout many players like this. They select from the college ranks
whom are usually less exceptional and demand more money. Also going
after college pitchers is risky because they might pitch every other
day and when they hit the majors their arms are spent- Kerry Wood-
Rich Ankiel- etc.

Simply put, his brand of money ball doesn't work and now he has to go.
A Terry Ryan or Pat Gillick type who knows how to scout needs to come
in here and turn things around.
