View Full Version : Bud Selig - I'm Embarrassed

I'm a Milwaukee native and a homer, but I have now finally seen the light
when it comes to Bud Selig, and I'm just embarrassed. Embarrassed at myself
for actually believing that he's a decent human being, embarrassed that I
ever gave him the benefit of the doubt, embarrassed that he lives here,
embarrassed at him and his daughter's handling of the Brewers, when they
owned them, and especially embarrassed that he made the Astros come to
Milwaukee to play as the home team, all the while knowing that Miller Park
is also known as Wrigley North when it comes to the Cubs coming here to
play. He could have moved the games somewhere down South or West to a place
that truly was neutral, or he could have done the right thing by postponing
those games until the end of the season and play them if they were
necessary, but he chose option three instead. By postponing the games until
the end of the season, the playoff schedule would have had to be altered,
which would have costed the league money. Well, whatever that cost to
shuffle the playoff schedule would have definitely been worth the peace of
mind the Houston players should have felt knowing their loved ones were out
of Ike's path.

If Allan 'Bud' Selig had a shred of decency, he'd quietly resign and never
hold his head up in public, again...... noot even at Gilles Frozen Custard
Stand in Milwaukee, where Bud goes for lunch every noon time when he's in
town. If he were smart, he'd never show his face in Houston again, and if he
were even smarter, he's go into seclusion like Salman Rushdie. I'd never
wish any violence against Bud, but I'm guessing there may be a few Texans
that do.

ok we can grow up now! I'm actually a frustrated Brewers fan,
all the stick a fork in them post, were made out of frustration.

I have more hope for them now, but unfortunately they are playing
a better team in the Cubs, and It's going to be tuff.

A sweep of the Reds and Pirates could make it interesting!

The Cubs only have to go 2-9. The crew needs more than a couple sweeps. I
can't imagine the Cubs going 0-11 and the crew 9-0, which is what it would
take for them to win the division.

Dan wasn't eluding to the Crew winning a Division title, PanHandler.
He was talking about the much more realistic Wild Card berth. Speaking
of which, that's probably one of the best things that Bud's done for
MLB. Purists may disagree, but I like the Wild Card. I'm sure there's
a team from Florida that likes it, too. ; )

who's talking about winning the division?
