View Full Version : Dontrell predictions for tonight....
My prediction for Willis tonight versus Texas:
5 IP
12 H
6 ER
5 BB
If he throws strikes and keeps the walks down, I will be happy. Even if he
gives up runs and loses the game. Tonight is all about 2009, not 2008.

Well amazingly Dontrelle pitched well enough to win. At the end of
the 5th, his last inning, the Tigers were ahead 4-3. He did walk 5
(too many) but he struck out 4. If he continues progressing, he might
actually be a viable starting pitcher in 2009.
Once again the Tigers bullpen gave up the game. First Glover and then
after the Tigers battled back to take the lead again, our old buddy
Farnsworth blew it again.
Can we give him back to the Yankees for Pudge?

Yeah, right!
And Inge may be an All-Star catcher next season, too. LOL

Yes, last night was encouraging. He still has a long ways to go, but he
only gave up 2 hits and 3 runs, but did walk 5. Better than I expected,
especially after he walked the leadoff hitter in the first inning on 4
pitches.

His performance was better than Francisco "creaky elbow" Liriano's was
tonight.

Not being in Detroit any more news of such events is slow to leak
out....I am SHOCKED Willis ever saw the light of day in 08 again.
Glad to hear the same guy that started the season is back, doing the
same BS.
Here's ONE time Sir Creep can take it like a man: "I was wrong". I
had high hopes for DW, and I was duped.
