View Full Version : My thoughts on the last couple of weeks.

I just wanted to share my thoughts on some of the happenings these
past weeks from this beloved Sport. I am going to be blunt, so don't
let your wife and kids read this:

John Ruiz once again proved that he is a Bitchass. Two weeks after
the fight and he is still protecting the decision. How long did
Andewz Golata protest after Ruiz got the gift in that fight? He needs
to set his punk ass down somewhere. Or here's an idea: Ruiz V
Wladamir Klitschko after Klitschko beats proventin. I would be rooting
for Klitschko to finish that Maricon off once and for all.

Joan Guzman needs to re-evaluate his professionalism. How are you
going to be a Champion at 122 and 130 and come in way overweight for a
fight at 135. His trainers should be slapped too. Isn't it their job
to monitor his weight to make sure he isn't over? This is a big
injustice for Nate Campbell. He isn't getting any younger, and he
can't afford to have fights fall apart like this.

Big ups to Juan Manuel Marquez. I knew the man was a great fighter,
and I actually picked him to Beat Casamayor. But to go ahead and take
him out, that's remarkable, even though he is an again fighter. (I
think Casamayor is older than his stated age of 37). This will be a
good fight for him to retire off of.

In my not too humble opinion, Oscar DeLaHoya beats down Manny Pacquiao
in five rounds when they meet later this fall. It's a matter of
Physics. Oscar is at least two weight divisions heavier than Manny,
who started his career at Flyweight while Oscar Started his career at
SuperFeatherweight. Pacquiao will have his moments, but Oscar's size
will start to wear Manny down by round five.

Moment of Silence. Oscar Suarez passed away today after a bout with
Pancreatic cancer. Quiet as it's kept, he was one of the better
trainers of this day.

There are many fighters who can beat Ruiz but they can't finish him
off. Like Jason and Freddy Kreuger he keeps returning in spite of
diminishing interest.

If I were Showtime boxing czar Ken Hershman I'd inform Guzman that he
would never again appear on the network.

Agreed.

While we're on the topic, who would you guys have Marquez fight aside from
Juan Diaz, among the current 135 pounders?

For starters, Nate Campbell who just released a statement to
fightnews, com expressing his wish to face Marquez on the Oscar-Pacman
undercard.

I forgot to put in my previous post:

Timothy Bradley needs to get some more fights under his belt before he
takes on the likes of Ricky Hatton and Juan Urango. He is a very good
boxer. But like other good boxers with little muscle, they will get
blown out the ring as soon as they are in with a strong puncher.
