View Full Version : The Biggest Problem Today

Sure the QBing stunk, the offense stunk, LJ stunk, they all stunk,
except Bowe. But the bigger problem today was what happenned on the
other side of the ball, and that shouldn't be happenning. Russell stunk
worse than our QB's, and that was with almost no pressure on him, as
opposed to our guys. But we gave up 300 yards rushing, most of it in the
2nd half, and 6.4 YPC. This rush defense is an abomination so far, and
you can't even come close to being competetive if you can't even slow
down the run. They either quit today, or weren't ready to play. When an
NFL team gives up 300 yards rushing, those are usually the reasons.
Glenn Dorsey is off to a beyond dreadful start to what will hopefully be
a stellar career, but he has to pick it up. Bigtime. Right now he's
making Ryan Sims look look like a great pick. I was and am all for the
Dorsey pick, and any team would have taken him, so in no way am I
criticizing the pick. But he's got to at least show up. Our middle is
doing nothing but getting gashed, caved in, and destroyed. The run
defense needs to step up, or at least show up.

I can't think of a play where they gave up a bunch of yards and it
wasn't because of guys starting out in the wrong place, or going in the
wrong direction once the play got started.

I think one large gain was because two guys ran smack into each other
rather than a guy in S 'n B. Pathetic.

I think its way way too early to be beating up on Dorsey... especially
considering how little experience there is around him, and how little
experience he has.
