View Full Version : Tarvaris Jackson is beyond redemption

The sad fact is the the Vikings have willfully thrown away the entire 2008
season by stubbornly refusing to admit that Herman Munster cannot play the
quarterback position.

If a team makes a bad draft pick it does not help matters to continue to
start that player when every football fan in America can see that he cannot
help to win a football game.

And it really, really does not help when that failed player is a
quarterback.

Don't blame Tarvaris. Blame the bald, bespectacled coach for not
knowing any better.

The coach certainly sucks, but TJ's not off the hook for that. He's
terrible, and we all knew it from the beginning. But Frerotte or Booty
in now, and maybe..maybe you win 7.

They'd be fine with Frerotte. Booty would be worse than Jackson. Did
you see him in preseason? He was awful.

›› Good point. Then again, as long as bozo's calling the plays, no
qb is going to be effective enough. Bozo doesn't have any passing plays
in his playbook that goes past 4 yards. But at least Frerotte would not
throw the ball into the dirt. It's amazing to me that TJ, in his third
year, looks that bad. Bozo and his scouts should all be immediately
released after drafting T. Jackson. Seriously, this was something even
us fans knew better then. You draft a guy from a rinky dink school, who
didn't even face Conference USA competition, and you thought he'd run an
NFL offense?
Brad Childress has killed this team. The defense can't win games by
themselves as we've already witnessed two weeks in a row now. Wasted
season (again). I see next week playing out the same, a sorry 13-7 lead
and then the defense runs out of steam, and Carolina winning in the 4th
with a minute or so left. Boring football, thanks Chilly!

Frerotte might win you a game or two more than Jackson, but he is
definitely not optimal. Trade for Jeff Garcia.

Why? Garcia and Frerotte are about the same age, and you gain nothing.
Sure, Garcia's a "little" better, but not enough to trade for. He was
Tampa's 3rd string qb the year before last I think, and injury prone to
boot. If they are going to trade, look around the league, and trade for
a younger backup with some serious potential like for example the
Cassell guy in New England, he was very effective Sunday. I'm not
suggesting him so much but someone like him that could be very good, and
never gets to play.
Then again, as long as there is a Brad Childress play book in
Minnesota, you can bring sir Francis Tarkenton back and it won't matter.

Why are you knocking on Herman? TJack goes down from an ankle tackle,
whereas it would take a truck to stop Herman.
