He's been good ALL year long.

Too bad his slump comes at the end when they can't afford it.

You can officially close off 2008. 86 wins would be nice.

What difference does it make? Wouldn't it be better to finish in last place,
as the Tampa Bay Rays did last year, and get better draft picks?

you aren't wrong...but there are signs that this team can compete for the
playoffs...however I agree it's pointless finishing anything lower than
WildCard.

nope. draft picks aren't that valuable in baseball, and, it would really not
even be innaccurate to say a baseball draft pick will not actually help you
next season (unless it's someone you can trade, like Maybin for Cabrera.
