The Rose Award goes to Gary Sheffield of the Detroit Tigers, who went
two-for-five with five RBI and scored two runs in a 14-8 win over the
Oakland Athletics.

Sheffield hit two home runs, including his 13th grand slam. Tigers
also homering included Magglio Ordonez, Miguel Cabrera, and Mike
Hessman.
