WHATSOEVER. At all. Nothing. Nada.
"I thought it was going to be easier playing against Rodgers than
Favre," defensive end Jared Allen said. "But it was easier playing Favre
(last year) because he was not as mobile. (Rodgers) froze the defensive
linemen with the play-action and his movement."

They'll never learn.
Fear_The_ Swamp 09-09-2008, 02:38 PM Well, let's not write off the guy after one game for Christ' sake. Maybe
credit the Packer O-line or keeping him away from Rodgers. I think Allen
will do fine as he gets more comfortable.
It'll be just a matter of time with all those Williams' in there, that
they'll all come together.

So you think Allen is just a joke, so the Packers get no credit for the
good job they did with him? I would like to think the Packers did a
good job on a good player.

I think he's good, and the Packers should get credit for keeping the
Vikings defense at bay. The Packers clearly outplayed them. I think
the point is that Allen (and Fat Pat Williams) should keep their
mouth's shut as they can't back it up. But as a Packer fan, let'm talk
smack all they want, it's all they got.
Funny thing is, in the article Allen is stating one of the reason's
for the switch at QB for the Packers, must make the Favre sympathizers
cringe a little.

I'm sure Brett Favre was watching this game, I wish some reporter would ask
him what he thinks of Rodgers as a QB, would love to hear what the ego
maniac has
to say.

NERD: They'll play decent against teams that aren't as good as the
Packers. But they need to shut their pie holes and stop talking
bullshit about how they're gonna put their helmets into Rodgers' spine.

I'm not writing him off, I'm just saying the guy needs to keep his
trap shut. Especially when he's going against the same guy who he
couldn't beat the year before. Guess we'll have to wait and see if
he'll go 0 for 3 in the second meeting (and will he run his mouth
before hand, again).

.. Thanks for the props. You and I are proof that a Viking fan and a
Packer fan can check on each other a little, but not be so serious about
the rivalry that we can't even discuss football like adults. Props back
at you.
Yeah, I don't know where they all go. Some go to Kansas Mike's group,
who I like, and wish he'd come back and post here and others that were
regs here tucked tail a few yrs ago, and started a "feel good only,
can't critisize the team" group, though I miss Mothman's insight.
If Minny pulls together some decent wins, more will come in here.
The problem with other groups for me is, I don't like navigating through
all the bullshit on these "new" message board groups. Having to
register, feel out a hundred things, it's just retarded. These usenet
alt.discuss groups do the job. Not to mention, all usenet (every single
discussion group, and those created by web subscribers, which you pc
guys don't get to see) on webtv is total access, no suscribing for
webtv. I don't know if you guys pay or not either. I realize all the
joking that associates one with webtv, but it's quick and easy with
discussion groups. And I'm not one of the usual "webtv morons" out
there. I keep mine for these groups, and to let my kids surf on it. I
have a pc, hell, it's 2008, but that's all for work, and paying bills
online, etc.
Anyways, on these usenet groups, it's right to the point, "post and
reply away".
We used to have some real bread winners in here that kept us entertained
like "blood purple" who fell off the wagon with the wheels and the band
wagon fans after the choke 15-1 98 season. I am shocked "Norton
anti-Vikings" hasn't rushed in to doom and gloom us yet.
I'm sure you have your share of 'em in the Pack NG, like Scotty Langer
comes to mind.
p.s. adress them as Vi"kings" around me. I have shown respect for you.
Well...... mostly...lol

NERD: Thanks man. Nice to see a ...'Kings fan that's not a pussy.
Most of those guys hate the Packers more than they love their own team.

Sherman years. Fuck those idiots.

Nerd: LOL, yeah we got alot of Favre nuthuggers in Packerland. Dude
had a hissy and tried to destroy the team, because the GM wouldn't let
him run the show, and all these dumbass fans think he's god. Well,
Rodgers will shut their mouths this year. vt and milt are probly the
worst nuthuggers. Well, and Langer. LOL.

boB wAlLed 09-09-2008, 10:39 PM The Packer O line was in shambles, 2 starters out and a starting guard
playing center. They suck.

If they kept their mouths shut, they wouldn't be Vikings.

Probably a bad comparison. Hovan plays just fine for us.
