From what I can see, it looks like either there has been no such thing
as a seeding committee or the draw has allowed for wind.

Tom Aggar (GBR) for example is racing in Lane 2 and he's current World
Champion.

Robert TJ, perhaps you could enlighten us as to the decision/
conditions

Stephen, the rule is that a seeded crew must be placed so that there is an
unseeded crew on either side. This means that if you want 2 seeds in a heat
they have to be in lanes 2 and 4. If one seed then they will be in lane 3 or
4.

The Aussie got the silver at the Worlds last year so I imagine that he's the
other seed. Interestingly I note that he's more than half way to VetD!

Correct! As you would have heard on today's commentary, had it been
streaming on the FISA website (grrrr!), there has been no seeding at
the Paralympic regatta. FISA took this decision because they
considered there was no comparative form guide for the crews THIS
season (where we have only had the Olympic qualifying regatta in
Munich plus the relatively small turn-out for the adaptive races in
Poznan).

The result was not only the fact that Aggar drew Lane 2 - his heat
also included those athletes who took 2nd, 3rd and 4th behind him in
Munich last year!
