Do any of single shells have seats which dont kill your arse after 5K?
I do 20K+ each outing and it kills!
Tried Gel pads and rubber pads - no good.
Do seats made to fit your rear cf Carl Dougles actual work???

Indeed. Sims carbon fibres seats also worked pretty well for me: I did a few
Boston Marathons on one...

A masochistic friend who regularly sculls the Boston Marathon swears by
seats without holes in them, which he claims cut off the blood supply.
He uses a Burgashell seat which has depressions but no holes.

I used to get a lot of arse-pain after about 15k but I seem to have
cured it by better posture, especially a more upright body position at
the finish of the stroke (i.e. not dropping the back backwards too far).

David.
