Not as over-rated as the Packers.

I agree! Their overachieving fluke year last year has caused them to be
overrated
this year.
Alexander_ The_Great 09-04-2008, 05:18 AM I'd say no. I haven't seen any sports program or tv analysis that says
Minnesota will much more than an average team with 7 to 8 wins
projected, and maybe if things go right 9 or 10, and I agree, so I'd
say, "not" overrated.
I am a fan, but with the first four or five games of the schedule with
no McKinnie, an injured TJ, Berriman and god knows who else, they may
only escape with one win out of the first five.

In this week's USAToday Sports mag 8 out of 12? analysis pick the Vikes
to win the NFC North and even one went as far as having them in the SB
(losing to NE)

Thanks for the laugh.

Mike Greenberg the other day picked the Vikings beating the Jaguars in
the SB.
As much as I'd love that to come true, heh.. not a chance in hell.

I agree as well. Wishful thinking from a fans perspective, which I am,
but I don't see a SB calibur team in Minnesota. Hell, I'm not sure
"right now" they are even a playoff team, ask me in five weeks.
There's no passig attack, the last 4 games of last season, AP wasn't
effective, and though I don't hold much weight in preseason, he didn't
perform this yet either.
The defense, I'm sure will look great at times, and spotty other times
like that game against Seattle this year. I see a close repeat of last
season. A few tough wins, all games close but lack of offense will tire
down the defense having to try and win every game. I predict 8-8, maybe
9-7 if hey get anything out Berriman, Rice, and TJ together. I hope
it's better, and it can be "if" they develop a passing attack, and not
rely on AP for 3 downs.
And maybe if Childress gets more imagitive on offense.

NERD: Best coach and GM in the league.
They got a tough schedule, but I see them pulling alot of these games
out. The BiQueens are one of their easy games btw.
