Perhaps the most influential figure in football other than possibly the
various commissioners during their tenure.

He was a great proponent of the bigger pie way of thinking ... Similar
to Mara in the early days ...

It was weird how they said the cancer was just diagnosed sunday, i've
noticed in the last year or so he was looking really gaunt.
I thought they were gonna come out and say he had been battling the desease
for awhile but just kept it quiet. He was one of the toughest guys without
being a jerkoff, thats hard to pull off.

It is...I know a guy who was diagnosed with it 6 months ago and he lasted
about 3 weeks.
