View Full Version : Mrs. Eckstein
Jeanne Douglas 08-18-2008, 09:24 AM For any of you who go to see The Clone Wars (the new Star Wars animated
movie that takes place between movies 2 & 3), be advised that Ahsoka
Tano's voice is done by Ashley Eckstein--yep David's wife. This is a big
deal for her, being a major character in the monstrous franchise; the
character is a Padawan (apprentice Jedi) who goes on a vital mission
with Anakin Skywalker.

Thanks for the heads up, Jeanne.
Now you've got me picturing David at bat with a light saber.

The Post-Dispatch review of the new CGI Clone Wars also mentions Mrs.
Eckstein doing the voice of the female Jedi. Was going to post about
this but Jeanne already made this thread (it figures Eckstein's
biggest fan in the newsgroup would make the post).
The original Clone Wars cartoons are a lot of fun, but the new one
looks terrible, no matter how well Mrs. Eckstein does with the
character voice.

Saw it tonight with my ten year old son, who really wanted to see it.
It sucked. Wait for it to come on DVD or HBO and don't waste the
money to see it in the theater.
Who knew that Jabba the Hutt had a young son named "Stinky"? Of
course, given the fact that Chewbacca's son and father are named
"Itchy" and "Lumpy", it sort of fits.
And Jabba's uncle in this newest flick caused me to laugh out loud in
the theater. Imagine a cross between Truman Capote and H.R. Pufnstuf.

And more important she's from the same home town and they both have the
same squeaky clean Christian values. From what we hear, they seem to be
absolutely perfect for each other.

Well, where's the fun in that?

I agree. So it's probably best that they're together; they deserve each
other.
