Greets to the LA and San Diego groups:

If the media reports are correct, Greg Maddux will return to
the Los Angeles club.

Just 1 point on Maddux 2008: Pay NO ATTENTION
to his won-loss record in SD this year.

Many times he'd work 6 or 7 innings, give up 2 runs or
less, ..,,, and get a loss or no decision.

His 1-0 loss to the hard-hitting Phillies last week was
just the most recent example (7 innings, 1 run).

He's a class act as well. Never complained about
ilack of support or pointed a finger.

I'll heartily second that.
MadDog is a class act and I'll be cheering for him even in a (*ugh!*) Dodger
uniform.
Here's hoping he can rack up as many wins as possible down the stretch to
make up for the piss-poor support the Padre hitters and bullpen provided for
him this season.

Sic 'em, MadDog!

I'm glad we got to have the honor of Maddux wearing our uniform for a couple
years. Standing ovation for a class act and one of the best who ever lived.
