View Full Version : Maddux to Dodgers
Seapig 08-19-2008, 09:04 AM According to the LA Times, it's a done deal. No word on what the Pads
are getting in return (I hope it's not Stacey Chuffo - I've heard a
lot of bad things about her).

Yeah, but if you check out the Chargers ng, it looks like Curtis is the
loser & poor Stacey is the victim.
Effin' spammers.
Go Pads !

Reports I'm seeing on ESPN.com indicate they got two minor leaguers "to be
named later" or cash considerations.
Probably dependent on how well Maddux does down the stretch.
Given that premise, I hope he goes unbeaten with a sub-2.00 ERA and leads
them into the playoffs... that way, if the minor leaguers are conditional on
performance, we get the most bang for the buck.
And if Maddux can be the only one of their starters to win any playoff
games, they'll be in the shitcan soon enough anyhow. ;o)
I want MadDog to do well and surge well past Clemens in wins... even if he's
now a Dodger.
The man's a class act all the way around and deserves nothing but the best
from the fans.

If I understood what they said on the radio tonight, the Pads have a
list of five minor leaguers, from which they can pick two. They have
until, I think they said October 15th, to make up their minds.

This is great news for Maddog. I wished he could have joined them sooner.
This is my final post here, unless Maddux returns to the Padres next season.
I've enjoyed your posts, Seapig, as well as some of the other posters here.
Best wishes in the future... except against the Dodgers this year! ;-)

Are we going to get a poster to be named later from the Dodgers NG?

I'm sorry you feel that way. I thought I was a respectful contributor here.

You're not a fan of our team, you're just a groupie for a certain guy. That
automatically makes you annoying.
