View Full Version : Olympic medals - just for final swimmers?

I was curious about the relays & medal awards...

Do only the final 4 actual swimmers get the medals,
or does the entire body of swimmers from the heats + semis + finals ?
Do they just list all 8 names on the relay event roster ?

After all, if the no-name swimmers in the heats + semis didn't do well,
there would be no finals & glory...

Any relay swimmer who swims in a prelim or a final gets the medal.
