Can't explain how else the guy who's clearly the worst staring pitcher in
the league would dare to call out his teammates for their lousy performance.
Haven't seen him all year but he was even worse than advertised tonight. It
was like Livan Hernandez making 3 times the money and for 4 times the
contract length.

It's hard to know what to say about SIlva. He was no great shakes in
Philly. Then the Twins made a passable starter out of him (2006
notwithstanding), and now for the Mariners he's having a horrendous
year. Maybe he is the opposite of a guy who needs a change of
scenery. Maybe the Twins were the team that made Silva a real major
league player, and allowed him to play like one.

Well, it certainly allowed him to get PAID like one. ;-)

Major League Baseball contracts are guaranteed. He'll make the money
no matter how he pitches, or even if he pitches. See Mike Hampton.
