Beck too. Actually, it looks like Beck in particular jumped the gun on
declaring Marbury dead in the water in NYC and Hahn just parroted
Beck. I had more faith in ye, NY Times...

1. Walsh said that Marbury has been a very good player in this league,
and he's not sure what has happened here but he's worked hard this
summer and has a clean slate. They want to see what he can do when he
gets to training camp.

Giving Marbury a second chance at this point is like thinking Charles Manson
can ever be a useful member of society.

Actually, this blog post was written by a reader ("david"), who attended
Walsh's conference with season ticket holders. The bit about Marbury
sticking around was simply what Walsh told the ticket holders, not what
Alan Hahn thinks will happen.
Hahn is still convinced that Marbury's a goner, and posted some
speculation that Marbury's departure could mean an invite for Patrick
Ewing, Jr., who's expected to be cut by the Rockets after being a throw-in
in the Ron Artest trade.

well it will certainly be a pox over his house if he's still wrong :)
but I suppose I'll cut him some slack for now.
