Maybe Coutlangus is coming back! :D

Counting Cooter, they have 7 pitchers, 2 catchers and 3 infielders who
are on the 40-man but not the 25. One of the pitchers is on the DL
and another is Max Scherzer, so we're probably looking at 5 pitchers
from that bunch.

I wish you were being funny, but now that you mention it... yeah, that
wouldn't surprise me. Either way, I'm sure it's a pitcher. You can
never have too many middling minor league pitchers.

Didn't St. Louis have something like 9 pitchers on the injured list
this year? You can either say that Jocketty picks a lot of injured
pitchers or stockpiles enough so that his team is competitive even
when the injuries happens.

Remember the old days when somebody got hurt on the field and the
trainers would come out there and spray something on them and
they'd be good to go in a couple of minutes. God knows what was
in that concoction but the FDA, EPA, AMA, and ABA has probably
banned the substance.

An entire rotation's worth: Carpenter, Wainwright, Mulder, Clement
and Piniero. A couple of left-handed relievers (Randy Flores and
Tyler Johnson) and two right-handers (Jason Isringhausen and Josh
Kinney).
