It's because of the players' costumes. It's enchanting to see the
diverse colors and designs.
But some are depressing. One team has horseshoes on their hats.
Those horseshoes make one think that the players were kicked in the
head by a horse.
Another has a design on only one side of their hats and no one I asked
knows what the design means.
Another poor team with orange hats has no design!!! Must not be any
creative people with that company.
I was also disillusioned to learn that they do not wear their costumes
at rehearsals, only at games. I found this out when visiting a Ravens
rehearsal. But oh their purple is sooooo gorgeous.

Those horseshoes went on the sides of the hats in '57. Prior to then,
they were on the back of the hat, near the neck, on either side of the
center stripe.
Prior to '57, there were no shoulder stripes, just arm stripes.

A fairy would have been better than having a picture of Paul Brown on
their hats.

Going way, way back in the day, GB had blue blouses, rather than
green. I'm talking early 1950s.
And the Colts had green blouses and hats, circa 1954.
Go figure.

I recall Oakland's costume as being stark and plain looking, which is
sort of cool. Maybe they've gotten all frilly too. Haven't really
watched the games for awhile.
