This is one of those games where you look at the result in utter
disbelief. You rub your eyes, and say 'bloody hell!' What do we
know as tipsters and what do the bookies know for that matter?
Doing the league this weekend is easy, its -1s all round and the
only good tip was for those who forgot about tonight's game and
forgot to post a tip, or those who were away on holiday. Artrhur
Pye's tip posted at half time is one such good tip.

I will not sort out the league ladder until I have had chance to
get any tips sent by pigeon post. I'll do it on Sunday and post
next week's fixtures. I'm off to Huddersfield tomorrow and after
being shaken by tonight's result just pray to God that Saints
play to form, and so for that matter do Leeds over the last
month!!

Wigan 4 - 34 Huddersfield (Huddersfield by 30)

Tips received.......32

Tipped Pies.........32 by an average of +19 spread from +8 to +40
Tipped Giants.......0

"Average" tip.....Wigan by 19 (bookies have Wigan by 10 )

Tipped Giants to within 6 points.......er,
Tipped Giants to within 7-12 points...um

Nobody even got a sniff of this result!

And while you recover from that embarassing home loss, the mighty Saints
prepare for a challenge cup semi-final. Just makes your weekend
complete, oh magic one! Noble for coach of the year!!!!!!!

This is the new table after the game at Wigan on Friday. You will
see very little difference to the table except most tipsters are
one point less well off because lets face it we all made such a
miserably bad job of tipping Wigan's game against Huddersfield.

In terms of overall Round 16, we have the same overall top
tipsters. Maybe instead of calling them *Tipsters of the Week* we
should now call them *Tipsters of the Round* They are Alf King,
Ian L and Mad Tom, who now instead of having a round score of 11
all have a shared top round score of 10.

The overall ladder is almost just the same as before:

Round 16 Outstanding Fixture:

It has been pointed out to me by Gordon that Dave Houghton left a
tip for the Wigan game before he went on holiday. He joins us then
as one of the -1 gang and his position is 30th.
