Way to go, Billy.

This is why the A's have no fans.

At least we got a redheaded left-fielder out of these deals. The fans
should be pretty excited, if you ask me!

If that's what A's fans want. The team was four games out of first
place when Beane traded Harden. Now, they're barely above .500 with
today's loss to the Rangers This is why the A's -- and Beane -- are
losers.

The A's were unexpected but legitimate contenders for postseason play
through early July, and actually could have made greater strides when Frank
Thomas comes back. But then came the trades of Harden and Blanton. I'm not
so upset about Blanton, but I'm believing that the trades messed with the
team chemistry. Beane must've felt that there was no way that the A's would
ultimately take the Angels or even the wildcard, so he went for more
stockpiled youth, even though a couple of moves in a different direction
could've put the A's in the postseason THIS year. Beane preferred to get rid
of Harden, probably as mentioned earlier Harden's health has been
interrupted from prior juice. Get rid of him now. Then losing Blanton wasn't
bad either. My biggest issue is with Cust and Street. And while we're at it,
hopefully Beane will find an answer regarding 3rd base, maybe put Chavez at
1st if he doesn't retire.

I think at this point we're only a year or two away from a serious run at
playoffs and even WS like the no name Twins of the early 90's.
