View Full Version : My new favorite MLB team
chuck 07-19-2008, 11:27 PM whichever one is playing (and hopefully beating) the red sox...(when the
yankees play the sox...I hope for long games with lots of bench clearing
brawls and multiple suspensions... a few season ending injuries to a few key
players is a plus)
the caustic attitude of their fans is so typical of sports franchises in the
NE US...up until a few years ago the sox were nothing but a thorn in the
yankee's side and were the proverbial bridesmaid...Now how lame is it
calling themselves the "rs nation" ? LMAO!,...stealing something like that
from the 'The RAIDers' is almost as bad as the Atlanta Braves fans stealing
"the chant" from FSU...c'mon...but what do you expect from such a yankeefied
place like bahston MA?

Hoping for players to get injured? Real intelligent. In July you
were rooting for other players to get injured and now in the middle of
August you've got Crawford, Eva Longoria and now Percival going down.
Give Rocco another week and he will probably be joining them. Karma's
a bitch. The Douche Rays have had a fine season but the Titanic had a
nice voyage for 3/4 of the way as well. Their best season yet and
they can barely break 25,000 for a Sat and Sunday game? Week nights
they are lucky to break 20. Great fan base. Maybe it is time to play
more games in Orlando.

Toledo Mud Hens
chuck 08-15-2008, 04:24 PM hey 'shit for brains' I was not wishing or hoping for injuries they happen
all by themselves to all teams, some benefit, some suffer from it (you
friggin retard)
you whinny suckpups are still crying how you got shafted by your beloved

I don't remember a Manny playing for Toledo?? Come to think of it,
when did I even mention the name Manny? Wishing for injuries, using
the terms 'retard' and 'shit for brains'? I figure you must be about
14. Your right though, injuries do happen and right now they are
happening in bunches to Tampa. (btw...Manny being traded was a GOOD
thing for the Sox but you wouldn't understand that unless you knew
something about the game and team chemistry. ie. Nomar in 2004) I saw
another post by you (wasn't hard since you are about the only one who
posts here) where you were ridiculing the fact that the Sox hadn't won
in 86 years. You were insinuating that Sox fans shouldn't feel good
about the two recent titles because they went so many years prior to
that without one. Don't you get that sports are all about the NOW?
Do you think Yankee fans feel OK about their team not winning it all
for the past 8 years because they have the most WS Championships in
history? The Celtics have the most NBA titles but that didn't make
not winning one for 20 years any better. Since there is no changing
history, bringing up 1918 or the Yankees 26 wins is just a pathetic
attempt to make one feel better about the present situation. Using
your logic, Rays fans shouldn't feel good about this winning season
because they were so god-awful for the past 9. After all, it is about
the ENTIRE body of work, isn't it?

I retract my remarks (that means take back) about the 1 in 86
comment. That was NissTech who brought that up, not you. The rest of
the post still stands.
chuck 08-16-2008, 03:49 AM the op was a rag on bahhston...since you replied with a flame I could only
assume you were a sox fan
FYI, most of us dyed in the wool Rays fans are also Buc fans... so we're
acclimated to swings between failure and success...we know how to handle the
success as well as the success...with
and NY can flash all those championship rings etc...there is more baseball
history in the Tampa Bay area than there is in any single stadium Yankee
Stadium included...the problem here is too many $#%^ing A$$holes have moved
down here from NY and bahhhston and make even bigger asses out of themselves
by living down here but still supporting their stinking yankees or sox...
