View Full Version : Camby
LA Clippers acquired Camby today for...a second round draft pick. A
pure salary dump by the Nuggets.
Now that we know that Camby could have been had for nothing, should
the Bulls have gotten him? He certainly would have improved the team
this year, but let's face it, he wouldn't have made them contenders.
He could have shown Noah a thing or two. On the other hand, he's
expensive.
I guess whether to acquire Camby or not comes down to the Bulls'
timeframe for becoming contenders. Is it in 2 years, assuming Noah,
Thomas, Thabo, and Rose mature? Or is it sooner, with multiple of our
young talents being traded for more more established stars to pair
with Camby and Deng?

Bulls could not get him for nothing (which was the only thing Denver could
take back to get under the tax line) as the bulls are over the cap with the
cap holds on their free agents. Just the cap hold on Deng puts them over
the cap even if they waived the rights to Gordan and Duhan.

I'm sorta homeless at the moment. Stuff's in storage somewhere, kids
are in Nashville with my wife's family, we're in Minneapolis looking
for a house. This will be my life for the next few weeks.
