Saw another blogger that had Rose, Mayo then Oden at #3, Beasly at #4 and
Bayless at #6, with Love at #10
But no Rudy...maybe he forgot about him because he does not like Love.

Nice, 2 out of 10 ain't bad. As Yogi would say, "That's almost 20%." : )

Now as long as they pan out the way we hope they will...

Better than bloggers...

Beasley #1

July 08, 2008

He made it look like it was just another game for him; he was the best
player on the floor. Relaxed and confident, with an offensive system that
demanded he get plenty of touches.
Other than some singing at the free-throw line, he had a brilliant Game 1.

July 07, 2008

He's a prodigious talent who will be extremely productive in Miami or
wherever he might end up. The Heat pride themselves on being a top-notch
organization, so if they keep him they will focus heavily on wringing all of
Beasley's talents out of him in short order.

Oden #2

This is based on his playing on two healthy legs, naturally. Out all of last
season after microfracture surgery, last year's No. 1 pick becomes the other
man-child of this rookie class. Oden is a true force on both ends and will
compete with passion and purpose every night.

Rudy #3

I love players who have been productive in the best leagues in Europe (think
Luis Scola and Juan Carlos Navarro). Fernandez is ready to play and has the
potential to develop even further.

Rose #5
July 08, 2008

Looked tentative and a bit sluggish early. Struggled using ball-screens, as
he did not change speeds and attack the opposing big.

But he showed flashes of amazing speed and demonstrated that his strong
upper body will give other guards problems. July 07, 2008

Let's not forget he is still very young and the Bulls still have Kirk
Hinrich, who has lots of talent, too. Rose is going to be great, but not
overnight. Still, he projects to be an All-Rookie performer.

,Bayless #12

Should be looked at as a serious scoring option off the bench. He is highly
confident and an excellent shot-maker with quickness.

Batum #19
I know that most stat gurus don't like him, but it's not easy to put up big
numbers as a 19-year-old in the Euroleague.

I think the Warriros, Mavericks, Nuggets, and Suns are all chasing you
and the Clips right now for the last three playoff spots. (on Paper)

So now we're up to 40% of the top 20? If we keep getting all this love, I'm
going to start getting nervous. It's never good to have this much positive
hype before any of them step onto an NBA court.

Still, it's nice to see that whole "Jailblazers" era disappearing in the
rear view. : )

With the way players are switching teams right now, it's tough to know who's
going to come out on top, but it's shaping up to be a helluva a season. GS
picking up Maggette should help them & it looks like they'll make a play for
Turiaf too. Losing Maggette & Brand leaves the Clips playing catch up, but
if they can land Josh Smith & Okafor, they'll be right back in the thick of
things.

This offseason is just getting started & there are a lot of free agents who
could make a difference on whatever teams they join. All I know is it's nice
to be in the list of teams that are expected to make the playoffs, finally.

Go Blazers !

they'd let me in the Rose Garden if I wore it. : )
