There was also a negative connotation associated with KXL AM, that the
Blazers weren't too happy with I bet.

And they weren't going to change KXL AM to Sports Radio, because
you'll notice that the other "sports" station (sports in quotes
because it's a crappy sports station) ain't exactly rich.

They ain't poor, but I'd bet that KXL makes more money (especially
considering it's the home for a nationally syndicated hate show, the
Lars Larson show).

Could be the geography around here to a certain extent too. FM signals
penetrate better in areas like mine (the Gorge) & are also not as affected
by driving under those big power lines that we have so many of.

BTW, NPR has been doing talk on FM for quite some time.
