Looks like Chicago will not be in the Vegas league, but will be in the
Orlando league July 7-11:

They traditionally participate in the Rocky Mountain Revue, but I
can't find any details for this year yet.

Not much positive in the stats from the first game.
I'm just pretending that didn't happen. Clearly, a post-up scorer is going
to run more rampant in a summer league game than a fresh point guard, but
shit, I can't pretend my feet didn't get a little cold reading that.
But it's pretty silly to read too much into the first game. Really, it's
even too much to read too much into a first season (Kobe, Jermaine O',
anyone?), so I think we'll be okay. Can't say I wouldn't have been happier
if DR had gone 20-10 though :/

Other than perhaps we are a drawing to a close of the JamesOn
Curry era in Chicago Bulls' history. 0 points, 0/4 from floor, 1
defensive rebound, 1 assist and 2 turnovers.
Who the heck are Demetris Nichols and Keith Langford?

Something else I found in a random spreadsheet - the summer league
stats for Deron Williams / Chris Paul / Raymond Felton their rookie
year.
g min fgm fga 3pm 3pa ftm fta reb pf ast to blk stl pts
william 6 139 21 52 2 9 12 16 11 22 19 1 10 56
paul 4 138 17 46 4 12 9 15 21 22 9 0 7 47
felton 5 126 22 60 6 13 16 23 17 26 8 2 7 66
*gigantic sigh of relief* ;)
Cheers for the post though.

They just want to get a look at them and they are not in shape.
They also foul out after 10 fouls and the teams have 10 fouls before being
in the penalty.

The stats are in: http://www.nba.com/media/magic/Bulls_cumulative.pdf
What we learned:
Tyrus Thomas PWNS David Padgett, Josh Davis, and James Augustine.
Derrick Rose has knee issues.
Joakim Noah can rebound, but hasn't learned to score yet.
Aaron Gray can rebound, and he can score as well. If the game isn't
too up-tempo, he's probably the best center on the roster.
JamesOn Curry will soon be the recipient of a Timeless post.
Keith Langford makes just about every shot he takes. Unfortunately,
he hardly ever takes a shot.
Demetris Nichols...well, he played the most minutes.

What is the reason for the games being 40 minutes instead of NBA 48
minutes?
